Limnonectes cintalubang Matsui, Nishikawa, and Eto, 2014, Raffles Bull. Zool., 62: 681. Holotype: KUHE 47859, by original designation. Distribution

Known only from the type locality, Ranchan, Serian, Samarahan Division, state of Sarawak, East Malaysia (Borneo).

Comment

In the Limnonectes kuhlii complex and superficially similar in appearance to Limnonectes tweediei according to the original publication. Matsui, Kuraishi, Eto, Hamidy, Nishikawa, Shimada, Yambun Imbun, Vairappan, and Hossman, 2016, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 102: 305–319, noted that, on the basis of DNA analysis, this species forms a clade with 18 species in Borneo, of which only Limnonectes hikidai is named.
