Colostethus awa Coloma, 1995, Misc. Publ. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 87: 17. Holotype: QCAZ 1327, by original designation. Type locality: "15 km NW Alluriquín (5 km NW La Florida), Finca Gloria, 0° 15′ S, 79° 01′ W, 950 m, Provincia Pichincha, Ecuador".

Awa Rocket-Frog (Arteaga-Navarro, Bustamante, and Guayasamin, 2013, Amph. Rept. Mindo: 98). 

Distribution

Known from elevations of 0 to 1220 on the western Andean slopes and in the western Pacific lowlands of Ecuador.
