Distribution

Amazon drainage of Peru in the departments of Huánuco and San Martín, from the eastern foothills of the Andes east to the Río Huallaga, 274-1097 m elevation.

Lötters, Jungfer, Henkel, and Schmidt, 2007, Poison Frogs: 372-376, provided an account and placed this species in their Ameerega trivittata group.
