Colostethus yustizi La Marca, 1989, Amphibia-Reptilia, 10: 176. Holotype: CVULA IV-2842, by original designation. Type locality: "14 km SSE Sanare, on stream along road Sanare-Parque Nacional Yacambú, 1475 m, (ca. 9° 43′ N; 69° 39′ W), Distrito Jiménez, Estado Lara, Venezuela".

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (14 km south-southeast of Sanare) in Yacambú and Terepaima National Parks, Sierra de Portuguesa, in the northernmost portion of the eastern versant of the Cordillera de Mérida in the Venezuelan Andes, Lara, Venezuela, 1200-1800 m elevation.
