Aromobates cannatellai Barrio-Amorós and Santos, 2012, Zootaxa, 3422: 7. Holotype: CVULA 8327, by original designation. Type locality: "Parque Cascada de la Escalera, at the entrance of Mesa de Pérez, Municipio Uribante, Estado Táchira, Venezuela (8.0031 N, 71.7316 W), elevation 1140 m".

Known only from the type locality (Parque Cascada de la Escalera, at the entrance of Mesa de Pérez, Municipio Uribante, Estado Táchira, Venezuela, 1140 m elevation). See comment referencing a possibly related Colombian population. 

Comment

Barrio-Amorós and Santos, 2012, Zootaxa, 3422: 20-24, discussed and expanded the information available available for suggested that the population referred to Colostethus saltuensis in Colombia by Grant, Frost, Caldwell, Gagliardo, Haddad, Kok, Means, Noonan, Schargel, and Wheeler, 2006, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 299: 1-262, is actually an unnamed species most closely related to Aromobates cannatellai.
