Colostethus pseudopalmatus Rivero and Serna, 2000 "1995", Rev. Ecol. Lat. Am., 2: 55. Holotype: MHNCSJ 2216, by original designation. Type locality: "Amalfi (Los Auribios), 144 km. al noroeste de Medellín, alrededor de 100-1500 m, Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia".

Known only from the region of the type locality (Amalfi) in the Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia.

Comment

Prior to the revision of Grant, Frost, Caldwell, Gagliardo, Haddad, Kok, Means, Noonan, Schargel, and Wheeler, 2006, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 299, in group VI of Rivero, 1990 "1988", Mem. Soc. Cienc. Nat. La Salle, 48: 3-32, most similar to Colostethus palmatus, according to the original publication. Grant, Frost, Caldwell, Gagliardo, Haddad, Kok, Means, Noonan, Schargel, and Wheeler, 2006, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 299: 160, suggested that this taxon may be conspecific with Rheobatates palmatus.
