Distribution

Lower Amazonian slopes of eastern Ecuador to northwestern Peru, near the Colombia border into which it may extend.

Comment

In the Colostethus trilineatus group, and previously confused with Colostethus marchesianus (now Allobates marchesianus), according to the original publication. Venegas and Gagliardi-Urrutia, 2013, in Pitman et al. (eds.), Rapid Biol. Social Invent. Rep. 25: 112, reported the species from Peru.
