Type locality: "Sebuka, Fiji Islands"; not locatable on any map according to Barbour, 1923, Proc. Acad. Nat. Sci. Philadelphia, 75: 112, who amended the type locality to "Ovalau Island", Fiji Islands on the basis of the collector's itinerary. Cochran, 1961, Bull. U.S. Natl. Mus., 220: 49, gave the type locality as "Sebukea (Levuka in Wilkes' narrative), Fiji Islands". Placed on the Official List of Specific Names in Zoology by Opinion 1104, Anonymous, 1978, Bull. Zool. Nomencl., 34: 223.
