Vitreorana franciscana Santana, Barros, Pontes, and Feio, 2015, Herpetologica, 71: 290.  Holotype: MNRJ 81776, by original designation. Type locality: "near base of Casca D’Anta waterfall (20°18′059″S, 46°31′199″, 850 m above sea level [m a.s.l.]; datum 5 SAD69), São Francisco River, Serra da Canastra National Park, Vargem Bonita, State of Minas Gerais in southeastern Brazil."

Distribution

Known from the type locality, Casca D'Anta (waterfall) in Serra da Canastra National Park, Vargem Bonita, and from Fazenda Vereda, Presidente Olegário, both in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
