Distribution

Eastern slopes of Andes in central and southern Peru and into the Serranía de Bella Vista, La Paz Department, Bolivia, 1200–1700 m elevation.

In the Cochranella ocellata group, according to Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1991, Lozania, 57: 1-30. De la Riva, Köhler, Lötters, and Reichle, 2000, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 14: 58, and Köhler, 2000, Bonn.
