Rhinella hoogmoedi Caramaschi and Pombal, 2006, Pap. Avulsos Zool., São Paulo, 46: 252. Holotype: MNRJ 40325, by original designation. Type locality: "Fazenda Santa Clara, Municipality of Canavieiras (15° 41′ S, 38° 57′ W, ca. 5 m in altitude), State of Bahia, Brazil".

Distribution

Atlantic forest of eastern Brazil from the state of Ceará to the state of Paraná; formerly (and possibly now) to the state of Rio de Janeiro.

Comment

 Oliveira, Weber, and Napoli, Herpetol. J., 24: 229–236, reported on larval morphology of the chondrocranium and hypobranchial apparatus.
