Art. 32.5.2 (ICZN, 1999, Internatl. Code Zool. Nomencl., Ed. 4) restricts the exchange of ö for oe to German words; Sjöstedt is Swedish. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 194. See Cole, Townsend, Reynolds, MacCulloch, and Lathrop, 2013, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 125: 375-376, for brief account and records for Guyana. Gonwouo, Ndeh, Tapondjou, and Noonan, 2013, Check List, 9: 780-782, provided new records and mapped the geographic distribution.
