Atelopus balios Peters, 1973, Smithson. Contrib. Zool., 145: 12. Holotype: AMNH 17638, by original designation. Type locality: "Rio Pescado, Guayas Province, Ecuador".

Distribution

Pacific lowlands of southwestern Ecuador (Azuay, Cañar, and Guayas provinces), 200-460 m elevation.

Comment

Presumably in the Atelopus flavescens group, although the original publication placed it in the Atelopus longirostris group.
