Breviceps macrops Boulenger, 1907, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 7, 20: 46. Syntypes: BMNH (3 specimens exchanged from SAM), by original designation, this including 1907.6. (reregistered 1947.2.11.96); BMNH 1907.6.12.1 noted as "Type" by Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 196, which does not equate to a lectotype designation. Type locality: "Namaqualand", Rep. South Africa.

Distribution

Coast of Little Namaqualand from just south of Kleinsee (extreme western Rep. South Africa) to Lüderitz (extreme southwestern Namibia).
