Eleutherodactylus (Euhyas) adelus Díaz, Cádiz, and Hedges, 2003, Caribb. J. Sci., 39: 177. Holotype: MNHNCU 874, by original designation. Type locality: "Loma del Espejo, Alturas de Pizarras del Sur, Sabanas Llanas, km 41 Carretera de Luis Lazo, 130 m a.s.l., Pinar del Río (about 8 km W sumidero)", Cuba.

Distribution

Known from the pine forests of Alturas de Pizarras del Sur, from the Viñales region in the east to the surroundings of Guane in the west, in the hills of Alturas de Pizaras del Sur Pinar del Río Province, western Cuba, 130–170 m elevation.

Díaz and Cádiz, 2007, Herpetotropicos, Mérida, 3: 100–122, reported on the advertisement call. In the Eleutherodactylus (Euhyas) varleyi group according to the original publication. In the Eleutherodactylus (Euhyas) planirostris species series, Eleutherodactylus gundlachi species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 79–80, and of Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 131.
