Distribution

Colombia in two disjunct areas, one population along the eastern base of the northern part of the Cordillera Central in the departments of Caldas, Antioquia and Córdoba, and the other found on the opposite side of the Magdalena valley on the western slope of the Cordillera Oriental in the departments of Boyacá, Cundinamarca, and Santander, generally below 1500 m elevation
