Pristimantis tinguichaca Brito-M., Ojala-Barbour, Batallas-R., and Almendáriz C., 2016, J. Herpetol., 50: 338. Holotype: MEPN 14418, by original designation. Type locality: "Tinguichaca, Sangay National Park (78°25′29.0″W, 02°12′49.80″S), Zuñac, Morona, Morona Santiago Province, Ecuador, elevation 2,830 m".

Tinguichaca Striped Rain Frog (original publication). 

Distribution

Known from the type locality (Tinguichaca) located in cloud forest in the Cordillera Oriental of the Andes in Sangay National Park, Morona Santiago Province, Ecuador between 2750 and 2830 m elevation.

In the Pristimantis unistrigatus group according to the original publication.
