Pristimantis saltissimus Means and Savage, 2007, Zootaxa, 1658: 48. Holotype: USNM563639, by original designation. Type locality: "from the Wokomung Massif, near Falls Camp, Potaro-Siparuni District, west-central Guyana; 05° 05′ 25″N, 59° 50′ 18″W, 1385 m".

Distribution

Known only from the Wokomung Massif at elevations between 698 and 1560 m, west-central Guyana; likely to extend in the same habitat into adjacent Brazil.

In the Pristimantis unistrigatus group according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 128. See Cole, Townsend, Reynolds, MacCulloch, and Lathrop, 2013, Proc. Biol. Soc.
