Pristimantis erythropleura (Boulenger, 1896)
Hylodes erythropleura Boulenger, 1896, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 6, 17: 20. Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.16.95 (formerly 95.11.16.55), according to J.D. Lynch IN Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 287. Type locality: "Cali, [Colombia,] on the west slope of the Cordillera, at an altitude of 3200 feet".
Eleutherodactylus erythropleurus — Stejneger, 1904, Annu. Rep. U.S. Natl. Mus. for 1902: 582–583, by implication; Gorham, 1963, Canad. Field Nat., 77: 17. Unjustified treatment of the species name as an adjective rather than a noun in apposition.

Distribution
Western flank of the Cordillera Occidental and the northern half of the Cordillera Central of Colombia at elevations from 1200–2600 m elevation.
Comment
