Pristimantis caeruleonotus Lehr, Aguilar, Siu-Ting, and Jordán, 2007, Herpetologica, 63: 530. Holotype: MUSM 24486, by original designation. Type locality: "'Nueva York' hill, Río Blanco Basin (04° 54′ 13.3″ S, 79° 22′ 27.7″ W) at 2900 m . . . , Distrito de Carmen de la Frontera, Provincia de Huancabamba, Departamento de Piura, Peru".

Distribution

Elevations of 2500–2900 m in the vicinity of the type locality (Distrito del Carmen de la Frontera, Provincia de Huancabamba, Departamento de Piura, Peru), and into adjacent Ecuador.

Comment

In the Pristimantis unistrigatus group and most similar to Pristimantis spinosus according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128. Not assignable to species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
