Species World: 23, Schätti, Perret, and Mariaux, 2002, Cat. Comm. Types Amph. Rept. Mus. Hist. Nat. Geneve, Vers. 4.0 (Jan. 2002): 13. Type locality: "forêt de Bafut[-Ngemba], Mt. Léfo, près de Bamenda, récolté vers 1.900 m", Cameroon.

Montane and submontane forests of Western Cameroon Highlands, excluding Mount Cameroon, Mount Kupe, Mount Nlonako, Mount Manenguba, and the Rumpi Hills; Obudu Plateau in eastern Nigeria.
