Species World: 17; and Schätti, Perret, and Mariaux, 2002, Cat. Comm. Types Amph. Rept. Mus. Hist. Nat. Geneve, Vers. 4.0 (Jan. 2002): 7. Type locality: "Mts Bamboutos, env. 2650 m", Cameroon.

Cardioglossa manengouba Blackburn, 2008, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 154: 613. Holotype: MCZ A-137909, by original designation. Type locality: "Republic of Cameroon, Littoral Province, Mt Manengouba, 05°00′38.9″N, 09°51′24.8″E, montane gallery forest, approximately 2160 m elevation".

Distribution

Two allopatric and morphologically distinguishable populations in Cameroon: (1) Central Cameroon Range, from Mount Manengouba to Mount Okou, above 2000 m, and (2) gallery forest near the summit of Mount Manengouba, Littoral Province, ca. 2160 m elevation.
