Hilly forested part of the Freetown Peninsula, Sierra Leone.

Comment

Perhaps allied to Cardioglossa nigromaculata Nieden, with which it was compared by Schiøtz in his description, according to J.-L. Amiet IN Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 16. Blackburn, 2008, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 154: 624, suggested that molecular evidence places this species outside of Cardioglossa and more closely related to other arthroleptid species. Blackburn, 2008, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 49: 819, transferred the species to Arthroleptis. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 147.
