Hilly forested part of the Freetown Peninsula, Sierra Leone.

Comment

Perhaps allied to Cardioglossa nigromaculata Nieden, with which it was compared by Schiøtz in his description, according to Amiet, 1985, In Frost (ed.), Amph. Species World: 16. Blackburn, 2008, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 154: 624, suggested that molecular evidence places this species outside of Cardioglossa and more closely related to other arthroleptid species. Blackburn, 2008, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 49: 819, transferred the species to Arthroleptis. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 147.
