Distribution

Okha, Gujurat south to Pune, Maharashtra, and Tangasseri, Kerala, India.

Comment

 Giri, Gower, and Wilkinson, 2004, Zootaxa, 739: 1-9, provided a key to the species. Wilkinson and Nussbaum, 2006, In Exbrayat (ed.), Reprod. Biol. Phylog. Gymnophiona: 66, diagnosed the taxon and implied that its monophyly is insufficiently documented. Bhatta, 1998, J. Biosciences, Bangalore, 23: 73–85, provided a brief account.
