Holotype: Philippine Bureau of Science by original designation (destroyed in World War II); CAS-SU 21758 designated neotype by Taylor, 1965, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 46: 286. Type locality: "Malatgan River, Palawan", Philippines; neotype is from "Iwahig, Palawan", Philippines (near the original type locality).
