Pseudoeurycea anitae Bogert, 1967, Am. Mus. Novit., 2314: 6. Holotype: AMNH 76365, by original designation. Type locality: "0.3 kilometer west of San Vicente Lachixío, a village in the Distrito de Sola de Vega, situated at an elevation of approximately 2100 meters in the Sierra Madre del Sur of Oaxaca", Mexico.

Raffaëlli, 2013, Urodeles du Monde, 2nd ed.: 275, provided a brief account, photograph, and map.
