Bolitoglossa carri McCranie and Wilson, 1993, Herpetologica, 49: 9. Holotype: FMNH 236502, by original designation. Type locality: "Cerro Cantagallo, near Lepaterique (14° 06′ N, 87° 28′ W), 1840 m elevation, Departamento de Fancisco Morazán, Honduras".
