Comment

In the Onychodactylus koreanus complex, according to the original publication. Raffaëlli, 2013, Urodeles du Monde, 2nd ed.: 50, provided a brief account, photo, and range map. Sparreboom, 2014, Salamanders Old World: 113–116, reviewed the biology, characteristics, distribution, reproduction, and conservation of the species. Borzée, Litvinchuk, Ri, Andersen, Nam, Jon, Man, Choe, Kwon, Othman, Messenger, Bae, Shin, Kim, Maslova, Luedtke, Hobin, Moores, Seliger, Glenk, and Jang, 2021, Animals, 11 (2057): 1–37, provided a modeled distribution that shows the species extending into P.D.R. Korea. Shin, Min, and Borzée, 2021, Ecol. Evol., 11: 14669–14688, provided a dot map, including new records from southwestern and southeastern P.D.R. Korea, distribution modeling that  predicts range shifts and drastic decrease of suitable habitats in response to climate change in the relatively near future. Raffaëlli, 2022, Salamanders & Newts of the World: 39–40, provided a detailed account, covering systematics, life history, and distribution (including a polygon map). Andersen, Chuang, Choe, Kim, Kwon, Jang, and Borzée, 2022, Zool.
