Pseudohynobius kuankuoshuiensis Xu and Zeng In Xu, Zeng, and Fu, 2007, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 32: 230. Holotype: ZMC 7504023, by original designation. Type locality: "Kuankuoshui, Suiyang County, Guizhou, China . . . . 28° 12′ N, 107° 10′ E".

English Names

Kuankuoshuiensis Salamander (Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 62).

Kuankuoshui Salamander (Sparreboom, 2014, Salamanders Old World: 135).

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Kuankuoshui, Suiyang County, northern Guizhou, China, 1350–1500 m elevation).

The sister species of Pseudohynobius shuichengensis according to the original publication. Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 3: 1608-1611, provided an account , figures, and range map. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2010, Colored Atlas of Chinese Amph.: 58, provided a brief account including photographs of specimens and habitat. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 62–63, provided an account, photographs, and map. Raffaëlli, 2013, Urodeles du Monde, 2nd ed.: 82, provided a brief account, photo, and map. Sparreboom, 2014, Salamanders Old World: 135, reviewed the biology, characteristics, distribution, reproduction, and conservation of the species. Fei and Ye, 2016, Amph. China, 1: 222–213, provided an account, photographs, and range map.
