Pseudohynobius guizhouensis Li, Tian, and Gu, 2010, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 35: 407. Holotype: LTHC 0711005, by original designation. Type locality: "Yanxia Twon, Guiding County, Guizhou Province (26° 12′ N, 107° 30′ E; alt. 1650 m)", China.

Most similar to Pseudohynobius kuankuoshuiensis according to the original publication. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 56, provided an account, photographs, and map for China. Raffaëlli, 2013, Urodeles du Monde, 2nd ed.: 82, provided a brief account, photo, and map. Sparreboom, 2014, Salamanders Old World: 133, reviewed the biology, characteristics, distribution, reproduction, and conservation of the species. Fei and Ye, 2016, Amph. China, 1: 217–219, provided an account, photographs, and range map. Raffaëlli, 2022, Salamanders & Newts of the World: 66, provided an account, summarizing systematics, life history, and distribution (including a polygon map).
