Comment

Removed from the synonymy of Telmatobius marmoratus by De la Riva, Köhler, Lötters, and Reichle, 2000, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 14: 49, where it had been placed by Vellard, 1969 "1968", Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat. Paris, Ser. 2, 40: 1112. Previously placed in the synonymy of Telmatobius verrucosus by Vellard, 1951, Mem. Mus. Hist. Nat. Javier Prado, 1: 76, although Parker, 1940, Trans. Linn. Soc. London, Ser. 3, 1: 203–216, noted differences between the two forms. De la Riva, 2005, in Lavilla and De la Riva (eds.), Monogr. Herpetol., 7: 68–71, provided an account. See statement of geographic range, habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph.
