Comment

See account (as Rhacophorus leprosus bicolor) by Bourret, 1942, Batr. Indochine: 414–416. Orlov, Murphy, Ananjeva, Ryabov, and Ho, 2002, Russ. J. Herpetol., 9: 98, suggested that this species is very similar to Theoderma corticale and Theloderma kwangsiense. Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 41, provided specific localities for Vietnam. See Orlov, Dutta, Ghate, and Kent, 2006, Russ. J. Herpetol., 13: 155–175, for brief comments. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 541. Gawor, Chapuis, Pham, Nguyen, Schmitz, and Ziegler, 2012, Zootaxa, 3395: 59–64, reported on larval morphology. Kropachev, Evsyunin, and Orlov, 2013, Russ. J. Herpetol., 20: 56–60, reported on larval morphology. In the subgenus Theloderma, Theloderma leporosum species group of Poyarkov, Orlov, Moiseeva, Pawangkhanant, Ruangsuwan, Vassilieva, Galoyan, Nguyen, and Gogoleva, 2015, Russ. J. Herpetol., 22: 276. Hou, Yu, Chen, Liao, Zhang, Chen, Li, and Orlov, 2017, Russ. J. Herpetol., 24: 99–127, reviewed the species and provided Chinese localities.  Reported from Lai Chau Province, Vietnam, by Pham, Hoang, Pham, and Nguyen, 2019, VNU J. Sci. Nat. Sci. Tech., 35: 73–79. Pham, Nguyen, Tran, Le, Nguyen, Nguyen, Pham, Dang, and Doan, 2023, VNU J. Sci. Earth Environ. Sci., 39: 53–61, provided a record for Son La Province, Vietnam.
