Comment

Orlov, Lathrop, Murphy, and Ho, 2001, Russ. J. Herpetol., 8: 25-29, provided an account and noted that it was possibly conspecific with Polypedates nigropunctatus, in which case the name Polypedates dorsoviridis would have priority. Orlov, Murphy, Ananjeva, Ryabov, and Ho, 2002, Russ. J. Herpetol., 9: 95, commented on the Vietnamese distribution. Orlov, Nguyen, and Ho, 2008, Russ. J. Herpetol., 15: 67-84, provided a photograph and a key to differentiate this species from others in Vietnam. Zhang, Jiang, and Hou, 2011, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 36: 986-989, provided a record for Yunnan, China, and commented on the distinctiveness of this species from Rhacophorus nigropunctatus. Li, Li, Murphy, Rao, and Zhang, 2012, Zool. Scripta, 41: xxx,  discussed the confused state of understanding of Rhacophorus dorsoviridis and Rhacophorus nigropunctatusFei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 540, provided an account, photographs, and a range map for Chinay Mo, Chen, Liao, and Zhou, 2016, Asian Herpetol. Res., 7: 139–150, on the basis of molecular evidence considered this species to be the sister taxon of Rhacophorus pinglongensis. Pham, Nguyen, Ziegler, and Nguyen, 2017, Herpetol. Notes, 10: 379–381, provided records for Son La Province, Vietnam, with notes on morphology and ecology. Dufresnes, Ambu, Prasad, Borzée, and Litvinchuk, 2022, Biol. J. Linn.
