Raorchestes resplendens Biju, Shouche, Dubois, Dutta, and Bossuyt, 2010, Curr. Sci., Bangalore, 98: 1121. Holotype: BNHS 4087, by original designation. Type locality: "at an altitude of 2695 m asl, at Anamudi summit, 10° 10′ N 77° 05 ′E, Idukki District, Eravikulam National Park, Kerala, India".

Distribution

Restricted to montane grasslands of Munnar-Valparai area of the Anamali Massif in the southern Western Ghats, of southwestern Tamil Nadu and adjacent southeastern Kerala, India, 1896 to 2695 m elevation.

Threatened Taxa, 4: 3082–3084, provided a second locality for the species. Sivaprasad, 2013, Common Amph. Kerala: 204–205, provided a brief account, photograph, and dot map for Kerala, India. Das, Rajkumar, Sreejith, Royaltata, and Easa, 2020, J. Threatened Taxa, 12: 16502–16509, delimited the range and described the advertisement call.
