Philautus griet Bossuyt, 2002, J. Herpetol., 36: 657. Holotype: IRSNB 1918, by original designation; corrected to IRSNB 1919, by Biju and Bossuyt, 2009, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 155: 416. Type locality: "Munnar (10° 05′ N, 77° 03′ E), altitude approximately 1500 m, Kerala, Western Ghats, India".
