Philautus quyeti Nguyen, Hendrix, Böhme, Vu, and Ziegler, 2008, Zootaxa, 1925: 3. Holotype: ZFMK 82999, by original designation. Type locality: "Nuoc Rung area, Dan Hoa Commune, Minh Hoa District, Quang Binh Province, central Vietnam (17° 47′ N; 105° 41′ E, altitude: 1,100 m a.s.l.)".

English Names

Quyet's Bushfrog (Nguyen, Brakels, Maury, Sudavanh, Pawangkhanant, Idiiatullina, Lorphengsy, Inkhavilay, Suwannapoom, and Poyarkov, 2020, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 14 (2: e248): 228). 

Distribution

Currently known from Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park, Truong Son, central Vietnam, on the eastern side of the Annamite Range, and from Khammouan Province, Laos.

Comment

The first Laos record (Boualapha District, Khammouane Province) was provided by Egert, Luu, Nguyen, Le, Bonkowski, and Ziegler, 2017, Rev. Suisse Zool., 124: 47–51, who noted that the populations are almost identical, but do show some morphological differences. Nguyen, Brakels, Maury, Sudavanh, Pawangkhanant, Idiiatullina, Lorphengsy, Inkhavilay, Suwannapoom, and Poyarkov, 2020, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 14 (2: e248): 218–249, discussed the natural history and range and provided a record for Khounkham District, Khammouan Province, Laos.
