Type locality: "District of the Karin Bia-po" (5 specimens) and "Thao" (1 specimen), Myanmar; data associated with NHMW syntype is "Karin-Gebirge, Burma" Myanmar; restricted to Karin Bia-po by lectotype designation. Hallermann, 2006, Mitt. Hamburg. Zool. Mus. Inst., 103: 139, doubted that status of the NHMW specimen and suggested that ZMH A03145 is a syntype.

Distribution

Extreme northeastern India (Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram), adjacent northeastern Bangladesh and through northern Myanmar (Bago, Kachin, Kayah, Sagaing, and Yangon), central and western Thailand south to Prachuap Khiri Khan Province in the northern part of the peninsula, Laos, southwestern Cambodia, and central and northern Vietnam to Yunnan, Guangdong, and Hainan I., China; reported from South Tanintharyi, peninsular Myanmar.
