Amolops bellulus Liu, Yang, Ferraris, and Matsui, 2000, Copeia, 2000: 536. Holotype: KIZ 9810022, by original designation. Type locality: "small stream on west slope of Mt. Gaoligong in Pianma Township, Lushiu County, Nujiang Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China, close to the border between Yunnan and Myanmar, 26° 01.9′ N, 98° 38.0′ E, 1540 m elevation".

Distribution

Known only from the region of the type locality (Pianma Township, Lushiu County, Nujiang Prefecture, western Yunnan, China) on the western slope of Mount Gaoligong; expected in closely adjacent eastern Myanmar (Kachin).

Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 3: 1510-1514, provided an account, figures, and range map, and included the species in their Amolops monticola group. In the Amolops monticola group of Stuart, Bain, Phimmachak, and Spence, 2010, Herpetologica, 66: 52-66.
