Comment

The sister taxon of Abavorana luctuosa according to the original publication. Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 44, suggested that populations of nominal Abavorana luctuosa in peninsular Thailand may be of this species once they are adequately assayed genetically.
