Arthroleptella subvoce Turner, De Villiers, Dawood, and Channing, 2004, Afr. J. Herpetol., 53: 2. Holotype: SAM 51705, by original designation. Type locality: "seep covered in dense restios in the Groot Winterhoek Wilderness Area, Western Cape Province, South Africa (33° 0′ S x 19° 3′ E)".

Most closely related to Arthroleptella bicolor according to the original publication, where external morphology, advertisement call, and molecular markers were detailed.
