Comment

See comment under Petropedetes parkeri about the possibility of records of that species from Equatorial Guinea and Gabon possibly belonging to this species. A cryptic species compared with Petropedetes parkeri, according to the original publication. Barej, Rödel, Loader, Menegon, Gonwouo, Penner, Gvoždík, Günther, Bell, Nagel, and Schmitz, 2014, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 71: 268, found the unnamed species to render paraphyletic the samples of nominal Petropedetes euskircheniChanning and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 318–319, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map.
