Proceratophrys dibernardoi Brandão, Caramaschi, Vaz-Silva, and Campos, 2013, Zootaxa, 3750: 340. Holotype: CHUNB 28131, by original designation. Type locality: "Municipality of Mineiros (17° 37’ 09” S, 52° 30’5 9” W; 715m a.s.l; WGS84 datum), State of Goiás, Brazil".

Distribution

Known in the municipalities of Mineiros, Jataí, Rio Verde, and Aporé in the southwestern State of Goiás, and in the municipalities of Alto Taquari, Alto Araguaia, Campo Grande, and Barra do Garças, in the State of Mato Grosso, Brazil.

In the Proceratophrys cristiceps group according to the original publication. Ferreira, Sugai, Souza, Vaz-Silva, Bastos, and Morais, 2016, Zootaxa, 4205: 480–482, reported on advertisement call and specimens from the municipality of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Oliveira, Santos, Souza, Lima-Ribeiro, Vergilio, Zórtea, Silva, Melo, Guilherme, Vaz-Silva, and Morais, 2019, Herpetol. Notes, 12: 492, reported the species from southwestern Goíás, Brazil, and discussed natural history. Vaz-Silva, Maciel, Nomura, Morais, Guerra Batista, Santos, Andrade, Oliveira, Brandão, and Bastos, 2020, Guia Ident. Anf. Goiás e Dist. Fed. Brasil Central: 174, provided an account. Santos, Feio, and Nomura, 2023, Biota Neotrop., 23 (3:e20231486): 1–43, characterized tadpole morphology as part of an identification key to the tadpoles of the Brazilian Cerrado.
