Calluella ocellata Liu, 1950, Fieldiana, Zool. Mem., 2: 232. Holotype: FMNH 55870, by original designation. Distribution

Yunnan, southern Sichuan, and western Guizhou (Yunkwei Plateau), China; Lai Cai and Lai Chau provinces in adjacent northern Vietnam; presumably to be found in adjacent Laos.

Glyphoglossus huadianensis was recently named from western Yunnan, China, and may have been confused with this species in some literature. Huang and Huang, 2022, MtDNA, Part B, 7: 1186–1188, reported on the complete mtDNA genome.
