Cophixalus iovaorum Kraus and Allison, 2009, Zootaxa, 2128: 9. Holotype: BPBM 19287, by original designation. Type locality: "Siruohu, W slope Mt. Obree, 9.44467°S, 148.00923°E, 1560 m, Central Province, Papua New Guinea".

Asterophrys iovaorum — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 479, by implication.
