Barygenys apodasta Kraus, 2013, Herpetologica, 69: 321. Holotype: BPBM 38913, by original designation. Type locality: "along Upper Muniai Stream, below Bomagai Camp, Woodlark Island, 9.1216° S, 152.7486° E, 67 m, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea".
