Micrixalus sali Biju, Garg, Gururaja, Shouche, and Walujkar, 2014, Ceylon J. Sci., Biol. Sci., 43 : 46. Holotype: BNHS 5731, by original designation. Type locality: "Ponmudi, Thiruvananthapuram dist., Kerala state, India". 

English Names

Sali's Dancing Frog (Biju, Garg, Gururaja, Shouche, and Walujkar, 2014, Ceylon J. Sci., Biol. Sci., 43: 46). 

Ponmudi Torrent Frog (Dinesh, Radhakrishnan, Deepak, and Kulkarni, 2023, Fauna India Checklist, vers. 5.0 : 7).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality at Ponmudi (Thiruvananthapuram District, Kerala, India), which is located south of the Shencottah Gap in the Western Ghats.
