English Names

Hala Bala Litter Toad (Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 31). 

Distribution

Known only from the type locality, Bala in Hala Bala Wildlife Sanctuary, Narathiwat Province, southernmost Thailand, and from the Titwangsa Range in West Malaysia.

Natural Resident: Malaysia, Malaysia, West (Peninsular), Thailand

Comment

Resembles Leptolalax heteropus according to the original publication. Matsui, Eto, Nishikawa, Hamidy, Belabut, Ahmad, Panha, Khonsue, and Grismer, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 36: 15, addressed the phylogenetics of the species. Thong-aree, Chan-ard, Cota, and Makchai, 2011, Thailand Nat. Hist. Mus.
