Comment

See comments under Pseudopaludicola mystacalis and Pseudopaludicola saltica. See account by Cei, 1980, Monit. Zool. Ital., N.S., Monogr., 2: 410–412. Klappenbach and Langone, 1992, An. Mus. Nac. Hist. Nat. Montevideo, Ser. 2, 8: 199, noted that geographic variation in karyotype suggests that this nominal taxon contains more than one species. Lobo, 1994, Cuad. Herpetol., 8: 177–199, redescribed the species. Achaval and Olmos, 2003, Anf. Rept. Uruguay, ed. 2: 27, provided a brief account and photograph for the Uruguay population. Laufer and Barreneche, 2008, Zootaxa, 1760: 50–58, redescribed larval morphology.  Fávero, Veiga-Menoncello, Rossa-Feres, Strüssmann, Giaretta, Andrade, Colombo, and Recco-Pimentel, 2011, Zool. Stud., Taipei, 50: 826–836, discussed karyology. See comments by Roberto, Cardozo, and Ávila, 2013, Zootaxa, 3636: 348–360. Alcalde and Barrasso, 2013, Amphibia-Reptilia, 34: 129–135, compared the internal larval anatomy of Pseudopaludicola boliviana and Pseudopaludicola falcipesWeiler, Núñez, Airaldi, Lavilla, Peris, and Baldo, 2013, Anf. Paraguay: 110, provided a brief account, image, and dot map for Paraguay. Langone, Lavilla, de Sá, and Cardozo, 2015, Zootaxa, 4058: 145–150, discussed the types, mapped the range, and addressed a number of misidentification in previous publications. Andrade, Haga, Lyra, Leite, Kwet, Haddad, Toledo, and Giaretta, 2018, Zootaxa, 4433: 71–100, reported on the advertisement call. Neves, Yves, Pereira Silva, Alves, Vasques, Coelho, and Silva, 2019, Herpetozoa, Wien, 32: 113–123, provided habitat information and records for western Minas Gerais, Brazil. Santos-Pereira, Pombal, and Rocha, 2018, Biota Neotrop., 18 (3: e20170322): 1–19, suggested that presence in Paraná, Brazil, requires confirmation.
