Hyperolius schoutedeni Laurent, 1943, Ann. Mus. R. Congo Belge, Tervuren, Zool., 4: 86. Holotype: MRAC 39837, by original designation. Type locality: "Kunungu (s/Congo)", western Dem. Rep. Congo.

Distribution

Isolated records in southeastern Gabon and central-west and southeastern Rep. Congo, and northern half of Dem. Rep. Congo, likely extending into adjacent South Sudan, and extreme southern Central African Republic.

Likely/Controversially Present: Central African Republic, South Sudan

Related to Hyperolius kivuensis and Hyperolius multifasciatus, according to the original publication, but very similar to Hyperolius cinnamomeoventris, with which it has been commonly confused, according to Schiøtz, 1999, Treefrogs Afr.: 152.
