Comment

See account Duellman, 1970, Monogr. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas: 292–294, who considered it to be in the Hyla rivularis group. This group was included in the Hyla pictipes group by Duellman, 2001, Hylid Frogs Middle Am., Ed. 2: 887, and who suggested that this species may be extinct. In the Isthmohyla pictipes group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 103. Köhler, 2011, Amph. Cent. Am.: 236–244, provided a brief summary of natural history for the species of Isthmohyla in Central America and provided a range map and photograph for this species.
